Kim Cochran, CCCA – Chief Operating Officer/Co-CEO
December 4, 1956 – July 19, 2020
We are deeply saddened to announce that Kim Cochran passed away in July 2020. Bringing years of experience in project management and construction to O’Connell Robertson, Kim invested himself in building a legacy at our Firm. Throughout his 26-year career at O’Connell Robertson he held several leadership positions including construction administrator, Director of Construction Administration, project executive, Chief Operating Officer and ultimately, served as Chairman of the Board and Co-CEO. His focus on the Firm’s operations and infrastructure provided a strong foundation for continued growth in all aspects of the business. He was especially proud of the Firm’s recent expansion into the Gulf Coast Region with the opening of a Houston office. He took great pride in the expert and distinguished professional staff and leadership team at O’Connell Robertson with whom he worked closely to develop the Firm’s Vision 2025.
“The work O’Connell Robertson does in Healthcare and Education is the pinnacle of what we can do to impact our communities. These projects have a real, relatable and powerful impact on people and fulfilling their needs is extremely rewarding.”
—Kim Cochran
Kim understood the importance of teamwork and relationships in delivering a successful project that met the unique needs of every client. His years of experience working for contractors and design firms provided the foundation for his leadership of O’Connell Robertson’s Construction Administration department for more than 15 years during a period of the company’s greatest growth. He oversaw the construction of new schools and higher education academic buildings, multi-million dollar athletic complexes for universities, clinics and hospitals. His work made a powerful impact on communities throughout Texas.
Kim was a two-time graduate of St. Edward’s University in Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. He was a Certified Construction Contract Administrator and an active member of Associated Builders & Contractors. Kim is survived by his wife Harriet and daughters Aria and Gwen, as well as the staff at O’Connell Robertson – where he will be greatly missed.
